Motorhome and Car Rentals

Anchorage Car and Motorhome Rental Specials

Rental cars and motorhomes both are sold out in the peak summer months so it is very important to place your reservation as soon as possible when you know your dates of travel. Prices for cars start around $55 per day with unlimited mileage and motorhomes start at $185 per day with a $.15 to $.20 per mile charge. Most motorhomes are rented in blocks of time such as by the week and require a substantial security deposit. We work closely with some of the finest rental companies in the state to bring you great value!

Motor Homes: Motorhomes come equipped with sleeping accommodations, a kitchen and full bathroom. Standard amenities on board will include a stove, refrigerator, freezer, kitchen sink, a toilet and shower. Overhead air conditioners, generators, and microwaves are on board many of our units, however, because we do not charge for these items, we cannot guarantee their availability.

All of our motorhomes are designed to be fully self contained to operate off of gasoline, propane, and battery power. All of the lights on board operate off of a battery, which is recharged whenever the engine is running. Major appliances such as the stove, refrigerator, and hot water heater operate off of propane and have extended use without refilling. For those of you who are first time RV'ers, you will be pleasantly surprised at how efficient and comfortable your "traveling get - away" really is.

A major misconception for first time motorhome users is that a generator is necessary to be fully self contained. As indicated above, this is not true. Overhead air conditioning and microwaves do require 110 volts, which can only be supplied by a generator or an electrical hook up at a campsite. However, air conditioning is not needed in the summer in Alaska.

It is important to note that without a generator, plug in appliances such as curling irons, electric shavers, and lap top computers require the use of plug in power at a campsite, and we recommend bringing items which do not require power to operate.

Also on board: For 2008 we will be including, at no additional charge, full coverage insurance (see our policies section for parameters), campware (includes all pots and pans, utensils, and cookware) and linen (includes towels, washcloths, sheets, blankets, and pillows)

No smoking or pets are allowed, and all motorhomes will be 2004 or newer.

So, what will you need to bring? Only your clothes, and you'll need to make a quick stop at a grocery store. Most everything else is already waiting for you!
